We loved our stay at Rachael’s house! We were in Uvita for over 2 months and couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose this house. Beautiful, clean, has everything you need, walkable to restaurants/beaches/groceries… The local Airbnb host Stephanie was very responsive with any question or request we had, from securing airport transportation to finding a babysitter to restaurant recommendations, etc. We would definitely stay here again and consider this one of our favorite Airbnb homes. This house was beautiful and welcoming. It looks just like the photos. We enjoyed cooking and relaxing in the house. The beach was about a 10 minute walk to the entry point. There was a $6 + tax charge per person to enter the beach. It was about a 30 minute walk to get to the whale tail portion of the beach. The house itself was a short walk to a Maxi Pali (Grocery store). However we preferred a different supermarket that was a bit further away. It was still a very quick drive. Manuel Antonio is about an hour away. The only issue we had is that we were informed upon our arrival that the washing machine was not working. This was a big issue for us as we had already been traveling in Costa Rica for a week and had a ton of dirty/ wet clothes that we needed to wash in order to have clothing for the remainder of our trip. The property manager Stephanie did arrange for our clothes to be picked up and washed. However this did take longer than expected. Still would recommend.

Within walking distance, you'll find local markets and restaurants, including Mareas Market, where you can rent bicycles to explore the area. The house is easily accessible without a 4x4 vehicle, and a bus stop is just a 3-minute walk away. Uvita is a 3.5-hour drive from SJO Airport, or for a fun and exciting travel option, take a hopper plane on Sansa Airlines from SJO to Quepos, followed by a short 45-minute drive to Uvita.
